Zukerman was born in Tel Aviv where he began his music studies before moving stateside to study at The Juilliard School. Bronfman, born in the Soviet Union, moved to Israel in 1973, where he studied at the Rubin Academy of Music at Tel Aviv University before going on to The Juilliard School.
