Ayelet Tsabari

In 2013, Ayelet Tsabari was named one of 10 Canadian writers to watch by CBC Books, and in 2014, she was awarded a Chalmers Arts Fellowship. Her non-fiction has won a National Magazine Award and a Western Magazine Award, and she is a two-time winner of Event’s Creative Non-Fiction Contest. A graduate of the MFA programme at Guelph University, Tsabari teaches creative writing through the University of Toronto and the University of Guelph. Tsabari presents her story collection, The Best Place on Earth, which follows characters of Mizrahi background, granting readers an intimate look into Israeli society. The Best Place on Earth is a finalist for the Sami Rohr Prize.
