The attempts were among the latest efforts by a number of far-left and Arab groups to initiate international acts to boycott Israel, however Doherty kept her cool and respectfully answered the naysayers. “Judging others is simply wrong. No one knows another’s true situation. If it aint your business, stay out of it”, she later tweeted, “Try not judging and realizing that other cultures and the study of them, provides insight”.
Having appeared on “Little House in the prairie” and the movie “Heathers” opposite Winona Ryder and Christian Slater in the late 1980′s, Doherty became a household name in the early 1990′s, starring in the hit primetime drama “Beverly Hills 90210″ as Brenda Walsh. Over the years she has become a tabloid darling, infamously known for being one of Hollywood’s notorious provocateur bad girls. Later she went on the star in “Charmed” and hosted SyFy’s “Scare Tactics”.
This past year she launched her own reality TV show “Shannen Says” on WEtv, which followed Doherty planning her third marriage, to celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko. The two tied the knot last October in Malibu. It appears that Doherty might also have another destination in mind, as she jokingly teased the boycotters in a later tweet, saying “I’m also possibly going to Russia in a few weeks so prepare now for your angle on that trip”.
