VISIT-TLV application aimed at boosting city’s international, domestic, tourism
The Tel Aviv-Jaffa Association for Tourism decided it was about time the city stepped up its marketing efforts, reached the crowds and become way more appealing to the younger audience. So they launched the first Israeli touristic iPhone app, the VISIT-TLV application, to boost the city’s international, as well as domestic, tourism.
The new iPhone travel guide provides the users with images, descriptions and whereabouts of the city’s most popular attractions, including restaurants, pubs, cafes, museums, parks, walking routes (for the energetic types), sightseeing tours and hotels with a special emphasis on nightlife – after all Tel Aviv is the city that never sleeps.
The guide highlights the very best Tel Aviv has to offer. It helps travelers and tourists taste what the city is all about, while allowing them to contact any venue by phone and get directions via Google maps.
Moreover, the application allows the user to share details or thoughts about any venue by email or by Facebook.
The guide also provides weekly updates regarding what’s going on in Tel Aviv, showing current events such as festivals, street parties, exhibitions, special happenings and more. It is especially great in the summer time, when there is a lot going on.
The application is available for download for free – just visit the iTunes store.
